Read this book.

Your reading this book will save me hours of blogposting so I can focus the time I spend here on self-expression and sharing my own life vignettes illustrating one Black man's experience and perspective for those who are interested to get a glimpse of living from within a "Black" body within a "White" society. I don't know it all, and I've definitely not experienced the worst, but I do know my own life and perceive from what for many of you is a novel, eyewitness perspective the environment and encounters which have shaped it for good and bad.

I appreciate and honor Mr. Joseph's willingness to expose his life and its vulnerable, racialized context and encounters on such a large scale for the betterment of the lives of all people of all hues.

It's not easy to put yourself on the stand of public opinion as both defendant and eyewitness; your testimony being one most white people who consider themselves defendant, judge, or jury --and all of us do either one, two or all three-- have a lot of trouble hearing.

I'm glad this book is written! You should be too. Read it. Nuff sed.
