It's you.

You were there then.

You are here now.

You had eyes to see,

ears to hear,

a mind to think,

and a conscience to guide you.

And you still do.

It's what you said.

It's what you're saying.

It's what you want to say.

It's what you're thinking of saying.

It's what you're about to say.

because this is what's within you.

THIS is what tells me whether you see what's behind and around you,

and what is before you;

whether you realize and are ethically responsible for the POWER of your words.

and...

It's what you did.

It's what you're doing.

It's what you want to do.

It's what you're thinking of doing.

It's what you're about to do.

Because THIS is who you are to me

THIS is what makes you my ally,

Or my obstacle,

Or my foe.

and...

It's what you didn't say.

It's what you aren't saying.

It's what you're thinking of saying and don't

It's what you're wanting to say but don't feel you can.

It's what your afraid to say.

It's what you don't even realize you ought to say.

It's what I'm afraid you'll never say, or say when it really matters.

THIS is what makes you a friend or stranger to me;

A conscious catalyst or unwitting obstacle to change.

and...

It's what you didn't do.

It's what you're not doing.

It's what you want to do but don't.

It's what you're thinking of doing but are afraid to.

It's what you're planning to do but never get around to.

Because THIS is who you are to me

THIS is what makes you my ally,

Or my disappointment

Or an obstacle to everyone like me.
